"Birds of Prey. and Margot Robbie's portrayal of Quinn - has a real Deadpool vibe: it's very violent (there more blood and guts in this film than all the other DCEU films combined) there's lots of swearing; it's funny; and Quinn - like Deadpool - smashes the fourth wall (along with many bad guys and girls) narrating her own film and at times directly speaking to the audience. Robbie had a big hand in this movie, and she carries this film, driven by her passion for Quinn. The Queenslander's come a long way from playing teenager Donna Freedman on the Australian soap opera "Neighbours.
BOP sheds the gloominess of previous DCEU films, while still having a violent edge. It also serves as a proper origin movie for Quinn after her origin story was glossed over at the start of "Suicide Squad.
